Windows Media Player by Microsoft Corporation is a famous multimedia file player that comes bundled with every version of Windows operating systems. Even if Windows Media Player for Mac is not a viable choice, there are plenty other players that you can use on your system. Here are some decent alternatives to Windows Media Player for Mac. Windows media player 10 free download - Windows 10, Apple Safari, Windows Media Player, and many more programs. Insert a USB flash drive to your Mac. Make sure it's at least 8GB, which is usually marked on the USB.
Click the Start button, type features, and select Turn Windows features on or off.
Scroll down and expand Media Features, clear the Windows Media Player check box, and click OK.
Restart your device. Windows Media Player should be uninstalled.
Repeat step 1.
Scroll down and expand Media Features, select the Windows Media Player check box, and click OK.
Restart your device. Windows Media player should now be reinstalled.
Windows Media Format Runtime for Windows XP/Vista. This package installs all the codecs and runtimes that are required for playing the various Windows Media formats, such as.wmv and.wma files. These codecs are normally already included with Windows as part of Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player is an application for Mac that allows you to open Windows Media files: WMA (Windows Media Audio) and WMV (Windows Media Video). The newest alternative to play Windows Media files on Mac is Flip4Mac, a plugin for QuickTime that gives you the possibility to play Windows formats using the the Apple multimedia player.

Devices and Mac OS X version
VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. It runs on any 64bit Intel-based Mac. Previous devices are supported by older releases.
Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Please use version 2.0.10 linked below.
Web browser plugin for Mac OS X
Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. It will not receive any further updates.
